Job Purpose
As a Design Engineer in our machine shop, you will contribute to product development by creating detailed designs of machine components, tooling, and fixtures. You will work closely with multiple teams to ensure designs meet customer needs, quality standards, and manufacturing capabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Create 2D & 3D CAD models and drawings 🧩
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams 🤝
* Design/modify components as per customer requirements ��️
* Ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness & quality ��️
* Support prototype development, testing & validation 🔧
* Identify and resolve design issues 🛠️
* Coordinate with quality engineers for QC plans 📊
* Conduct design reviews & risk assessments 📝
* Estimate material and manufacturing costs 💰
* Maintain accurate CAD files and documentation 📂
* Provide regular design updates to teams 📣
Qualifications
* Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical/Production or ITI Draughtsman 🎓
* Experience as a Design Engineer in a machine shop 🏭
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks 🖥️
* Strong knowledge of machining, CNC & VMC 🌀
* Understanding of quality control standards ��️
* Good communication & teamwork skills 💬
* Experience with PLM is an added advantage 📁
